Bold and Controversial

Is it okay to be bold and controversial as Christians?
Believers must not change their mindset because the world changes theirs. Children of God need to earnestly pray for blind eyes to be opened, hearts to be softened, and ears to hear the TRUTH. The fact of the matter is that, at times, we are called to be bold and controversial.
We must be bold and controversial as Jesus was bold and controversial (which is one of the reasons why He was hated by the Pharisees and Sadducees). His whole entire ministry was and still is controversial. Even the Bible is controversial, which is why it’s banned in certain countries.
Every miracle and victory in scripture was in some way, shape, or form linked to controversy and boldness.
If someone hates you because you speak the truth, THAT IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM!
But how do we do this without coming across as brash? Well, we can learn from the Best Leader this world has ever known [Jesus Christ]. If we were to read the Book of John (for instance) and study the actions of Christ, we’d come to the realization that He was bold and controversial…but in love. Standing for what is right in the eyes of the Lord, being steadfast and unmovable.
We are to be in the world but not of it. The world loves it’s own, which is why Jesus made it very clear that the world hated Him first before it hated us. Because the world hated Him first, they will hate us as well, which is why we as Christians will sometimes come across as bold and controversial. We’re elected to be a light in a very dark world.
Living the life at home as we do in the church house is a great start to showing others the way. Let’s live the life that we sing and preach about, if not, we will not be taken seriously and become a misrepresentation of Christ.
